What did you do this past weekend? Planned for Thanksgiving? Tackled the leaves in your backyard? Enjoyed a football game or two? (Speaking of which — How about those Panthers!)
You might have done any of those things, but if you work in Technekes’ Raleigh office, there’s a chance you also did something “outrageous.”
SWOOP (Strong Women Organizing Outrageous Projects) is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to making a real difference in just one day. So this “SWOOPin Saturday,” while the rest of us were taking it easy, a crew from Technekes was pitching in to help a neighbor in need.
Jen Potenzano organized the effort, pulling together a dozen teammates who threw their hearts (and backs) into a day of painting, caulking, sanding, mowing and much-needed weed-whacking.
As Laura Wahl pointed out, “We sure are handy!” More than that, though, we’d say “You sure are generous!”
